The Town of North Providence’s new 52,000 sf public safety building serves as a combined headquarters for the police and fire departments as well as a small municipal court.

The courtroom serves as the connecting hub for the police and fire department wings of the building, and doubles as a community room to be shared by the townspeople.

The Odeh team worked closely with the team to engineer this economical structure that combines the durability and strength of reinforced masonry bearing walls with the long span flexibility of steel framing. A beautiful cantilevered canopy was constructed using a radial structure with tubular steel framing.
